What can I expect in a counseling session?
A session usually lasts about 50 minutes, although longer sessions might be considered useful. Weekly sessions are usually recommended, but this will vary according to your personal situation. Between sessions, clients are encouraged to think about and process what was discussed. At times, you may be asked to do something specific outside of the therapy sessions, such as reading a relevant book or keeping records. For the therapy to "work," you must be an active participant, both during and between the therapy sessions.
What benefits can I expect from working with a counselor?
A number of benefits are available for participating. Often, it is helpful just to know that someone understands. Counseling can provide a fresh perspective on a difficult problem or point you in the direction of a solution. The benefits you get from counseling depend on how well you use the process and put into practice what you learn.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is designed to respect the time of both our clients and therapists. If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, we require at least 48 hours' notice. Without such notice, you will be responsible for paying the full cost of the session. This policy helps us manage our scheduling and availability for all clients effectively. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
